Chip, cook, season, bag. Job done, right? Not quite. Our team of Master Fryers personally select a batch of potatoes, see them through the slicer, hand-cook them, and sign the bags off. This personal touch not only keeps authentic skills alive, but it ensures that somebody – not a machine – is responsible for each bag of crisps that leaves our warehouse.

Big Hearted by Nature – Meet Aureliomo Rodriguez Cupertino. We call him Roddy. He’s been a fryer here at Burts since 2008. His favourite chip is the Thai Sweet Chilli. He says it’s because it captures his character – genuine with a hint of spice! And we don’t doubt this: 10 years ago Roddy instigated his own initiative to support the homeless in his hometown which he still holds close to his heart today.
The natural Entertainer – Meet Sony, or Sonychan as we know him. He brings a huge smile to the Burts team. Never short of a joke or two, Sony is the entertainer in the team. He’s also one of the most experienced fryers we have here at Burts.
Kind and Generous – Richard joined us in 2008. A family man, Richard describes himself as hardworking but a little grumpy! When asked who he’d share his Burts with he replied ‘Chuck Norris on a sinking ship’… Why? ‘because everything’s gonna be alright!” Weird we know… but that’s Tommy! We call Richard, Tommy.
Ambitious & fun-loving – One of our more recent acquisitions, Felix brings a fun-loving vibe to our team. Passionate about sport and with an ambition to fly, nothing holds Felix back, or Philso as we know him. You’ll all be pleased to know Felix has told us that after his first frying experience he’ll never burn the potatoes again!
